HOW IT WORKS
We provide a unique estate clearance service in Invercargill that supports families in the practical tasks involved in settling the residence of a deceased relative or a relative that is moving into supported living.
We do this with a high level of empathy, respect and professionalism. All regular staff are police vetted and are required to maintain confidentiality with regard to our clients and our services.
OUR SERVICES
We understand that for some families it is not possible to deal with estate clearance and resolution in person. If they are located overseas, health or family situations make it difficult, or perhaps the task is too daunting when grieving.
We are available to discuss in person, over video-conferencing, phone conversation, or liaise with trustees to make a plan for your estate clearance.
Each situation is unique and we offer flexibility in our arrangements to ensure your needs are met by the services we provide. Listed below is a brief overview of our main services. If you need a service that is related to these but not listed please contact us to discuss as we may still be able to help.
Asset catalogue
We can create a video-graphic or photographic catalogue of the property as a whole or specific items of importance if requested. Consideration and discussion around how this service would work for you needs to be made early in the process to ensure it is able to be scheduled appropriately.
Storage, moving or packing
When you need to relocate, downsize or clear a property we can work with you to find strategies that best suit your needs. Clients have a number of options, including the possibility for Helping Hands to pack and store goods for later handling. We may also arrange for things to be shipped locally or abroad if necessary.
Property cleaning
We have a dedicated team of people that efficiently and professionally work to clear and clean each property according to our clients needs, whether this is supporting people moving into retirement facilities or preparing a deceased estate property for sale.
Preparation for sale
When you need to relocate, downsize or clear a property we can work with you to find strategies that best suit your needs. Clients have a number of options, including the possibility for Helping Hands to pack and store goods for later handling. We are able to help with staging of a property for market and can also oversee small odd jobs such as painting or repairs as needed to help ensure the best presentation of a property.
Rubbish removal - Estate Clearance
A large portion of the stress that comes with dealing with an estate is the sometimes-overwhelming task of dealing with undesired household belongings. We strive to be environmentally conscious in our business and one of our aims is to reduce the amount of waste ending up in landfills. We like to collaborate with our clients to donate, sell, recycle and reuse any goods that are not to be kept whenever possible and all other goods are disposed of appropriately.
OUR STORY
Helping Hands is a family company that has arisen out of our own experiences. We have sadly had the loss of beloved family members overseas and helped family members in New Zealand move into their next phase of living in rest homes. It is through these experiences that we gained our understanding of the pressures and difficulties that can come with clearing Estates- especially when it is not possible to directly be on hand to assist.
Our aim is to reduce stress for you in these situations by taking some of the pressure off in dealing with the practical aspects in a professional and compassionate manner.
We are here to help.
